Easy video trimming
Working with video I found that there is not a simple and effective way for small operations in video files. I still have not found simple software that works on Mac or PC (if there is, let me know, please) that can cut, copy and paste video. The closest tool I've found is the Quicktime Player in the mac platform, with registered version. But with Quicktime or MPEG Streamclip we have a problem. With PC there are not codecs of DivX or XVid for Quicktime. The easiest way would be Quicktime registered version with Perian codecs installed in a Mac (read the article easy video editing). So I found a utility that trims video easy and effective. This is Avidemux and is very easy to use it to cut video if you know some tricks. 1. You must choose the same format as the video opened. 2. To cut the video you will have to choose copy to copy audio and video. 3. You have to go jumping from keyframe to keyframe with the >> button to select the start point of the cut, press the A button, move forward again with >> and mark the end of the cut with button B. Making the cut at a keyframe prevents bad frames at the beginning of the movie. A keyframe is the frame of the video compressor used as a reference. Done it. You can save it. |
