Grandperspective helps to locate free space on the mac hard disk
|
|
Grandperspective is a small but useful tool to graphically view the
space occupied by files on our Mac, is free and can be downloaded here (only for Mac OS X)
|
Many times an unknown number
of files are filling your hard disk. When the
cleaning hour has come, is very helpful to know which of these files take up more
space and to assess whether it is worthwhile to keep them.
Well,
grand perspective shows graphically, grouped by color, the contents of
any folder or hard disk. It's a little hard to explain, so
better a picture.

Graphical representation of the contents of my music folder

To view the
contents of a folder or entire hard drive, you simply have to open it
in GrandPerspective, it will show the files that populate the folder
which ones are occupying more space ... showing them as if they were
parts of a field, If you click any of these fields will tell you what
file is and how big.
This way when you clean your hard disk you can know the files, once removed, released large amounts of disk space.
