The best plug-ins for Firefox
Firefox,
Our nice browser.
One of the advantages that Firefox has over other search engines is the possibility to add new characteristics or upgrades, thanks to available plug-ins and other compliments. They can be activated or deactivated from the tools/plug-ins menu. They can be easily installed by visiting https://addons.mozilla.org/.
Here I will outline what I think is most worthwhile.
Yoono |
Download |
This is in my opinion, the best plug-in for Firefox. It synchronizes your favorites onto any computer and once installed, has a password protected login.
It allows you to see the favorites used by other visitors and to see the related pages. This is very useful if you are looking for alternatives or need to know which sites are really popular.
The main advantage of this plug-in is that it is maintained by individuals, not businesses. So what you see here are websites that are truly popular.

Download Statusbar
Download |
The Firefox download system is a bit of a drag. Each time you download, a pop up window opens showing you the download progress. If you close this window you are left clueless as to where you are in the process. By adding on StatusBar, a lower bar allows you to keep an eye on your download status.

Web Developer
Download |
Web developer is very useful for professionals that make websites (like us-hee hee).
It is a bar that has many options and shows the make up of a webpage. Its most useful button is information that has the display element information option, where all relevant information relating to the page is shown.

ChatZilla |
Download |
ChatZilla, as you will have already guessed, is for chatting. It connects to the IRC network through a window on the browser. It is free and a good multi-platform alternative to mIRC or ircle.
